Director’s Message

At Uxbridge Montessori, we believe that success in education and in life is based on four key points: a culture of high expectations within quality programs, a flexible and responsive structure, a clear strategy, and focused and flawless execution of that strategy. These cornerstones form the foundation of the quality education that we provide for our students.

Our purpose-driven approach and action-oriented culture help our students develop problem-solving skills, work with new ideas, become adaptable to changing environments, anticipate change, and develop superior communication skills in various mediums. By graduation, our students will have consolidated and internalized the learning process, gained critical knowledge, and developed character traits that will provide them with the confidence to succeed in their future endeavors.

At UMS, we’re committed to providing our students with the best possible education by building upon these cornerstones. By emphasizing high expectations, flexibility, clarity, and flawless execution, we’re able to create a culture of excellence that supports our students’ growth and development.

Mission Statement

To promote academic excellence within an enriched curriculum by providing positive educational opportunities for children that foster leadership, achievement and a love of learning.

Our Philosophy

Uxbridge Montessori School (UMS) is dedicated to providing an exceptional learning experience that empowers students to be active participants in their own education. Our classroom lessons are designed to encourage exploration, discovery, and critical thinking through dialogue and debate with both peers and teachers.

Our well-rounded approach to education promotes academic excellence, self-reliance, good sportsmanship, aesthetic appreciation, and critical thinking. We help our students develop the skills they need to succeed in school and in life. Our ultimate goal is to help our students become self-motivated and self-disciplined scholars, as well as responsible citizens of their community, country, and the world.

At UMS, we believe that learning is a total life experience, and we’re committed to providing our students with the tools and opportunities they need to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

Our Faculty

At Uxbridge Montessori, we’re committed to providing our students with exceptional teachers who are well-qualified and passionate about their work. All of our classroom teachers hold appropriate teaching qualifications, and Montessori teachers have recognized Montessori qualifications. Our specialty teachers are trained in the subjects they teach, and many have years of teaching experience. We also welcome new teachers to our team, as they bring fresh ideas and perspectives to the table, while experienced teachers know how to implement those ideas effectively.

Our teachers work closely together to establish a high-quality program in all of their classes. We strongly encourage professional development for our teachers in areas of interest to stay current and expand their knowledge base. When we hire teachers, we look for several different qualities beyond basic qualifications. We seek teachers whose professional interests lie in providing an academically challenging curriculum, ongoing professional development in areas of focus for the school, working as part of a close staff team, and who have interests that will enhance our extra-curricular activities. By seeking out passionate, dedicated, and well-rounded teachers, we’re able to provide our students with the best possible learning experience.
