A Season of Play, Discovery, and Adventure For Ages 18 Months – 9 Years
Each summer, Uxbridge Montessori School offers a vibrant and engaging Discovery Summer Camp designed to nurture creativity, movement, and curiosity. Our program provides a safe, structured environment where children explore new ideas, build friendships, and enjoy hands-on learning through play.
Campers are grouped by age and guided by experienced, caring staff. Our program blends Montessori principles with summer fun—offering children a sense of routine, freedom within structure, and opportunities for joyful discovery.
A Montessori-Inspired Summer Experience
Our Discovery Camp encourages:

Campers enjoy a rotating schedule of engaging activities that promote independence, teamwork, and imagination. While we offer consistent routines, the content and experiences evolve weekly to keep camp exciting and fresh.

- Before and After Care: Included (7:30–9:00 AM & 4:00–5:30 PM)

Summer Camp 2026 Program Highlights

Get ready to explore the wonderful world of wildlife! Birdsong & Critter Week invites campers to become junior naturalists as they discover the fascinating creatures that live all around us, from tiny insects to chirping birds and friendly forest animals. Throughout the week, children will enjoy hands-on activities, outdoor exploration, and creative projects that help them learn about animal habitats, behaviours, and the important roles each creature plays in nature. Campers will also practice observation, teamwork, and curiosity as they investigate the natural world around them. This week will feature special visiting naturalists and wildlife educators who will lead interactive workshops and presentations. Campers will have the chance to see, touch, and learn about insects, birds, and other critters up close, in a safe and engaging environment. (*4 day Week)

Get ready to jump, stretch, dance, and move! Movement Mash-Up Week is all about keeping campers active, energized, and having fun through a variety of physical activities that encourage coordination, teamwork, and healthy habits. Throughout the week, children will explore different forms of movement, from dance and gymnastics to active games. Campers will learn new skills, challenge themselves in a safe and supportive environment, and discover the joy of staying active. This week will feature special guests, including fitness educators who will lead hands-on workshops designed to inspire movement, build confidence, and encourage lifelong healthy habits.

Calling all creators, builders, and imaginative minds! Maker's Workshop Week invites campers to roll up their sleeves and dive into a week of hands-on creativity, problem-solving, and innovation. Throughout the week, children will explore a variety of maker activities, including crafting, building, designing, and upcycling everyday materials into something new. Campers will be encouraged to experiment, take creative risks, and develop their ideas from start to finish while learning basic design and construction skills. This week will feature interactive workshops led by visiting makers and creative professionals, giving campers the chance to design their own creations in a safe, age-appropriate way. From collaborative builds to individual projects, children will practice teamwork, persistence, and creative thinking.

Enter the UMS backyard garden, dig in, and explore the full journey of food from soil to table! Throughout the week, children will take part in hands-on gardening experiences such as planting seeds, watering and caring for crops, and observing how plants change and grow over time. Campers will learn about different types of fruits, vegetables, and grains, the role of soil, sunlight, water, and the importance of caring for the land. Farm-inspired activities, nature exploration, sensory play, creative art projects, and themed stories will help bring gardening and farming concepts to life in a fun, age-appropriate way. The visitor this week is a local farmer who has prepared a wonderful presentation. During the visit, children will also explore seasonal harvests, learn about sustainability, and discover how growing food connects communities and supports healthy living.

Mindful Moments Week offers campers a peaceful and enriching opportunity to slow down, move their bodies, and connect with their thoughts and feelings in a positive way. Throughout the week, children will be introduced to age-appropriate yoga, breathing exercises, and mindfulness activities designed to support emotional well-being, focus, and self-confidence. Campers will explore gentle movement, relaxation techniques, and calming strategies through guided sessions, creative activities, and reflective play. This week will include a workshop led by a certified children’s yoga and mindfulness instructor, ensuring a safe, supportive, and engaging experience for all participants. In addition to yoga sessions, campers will participate in mindfulness-based games, stories, journaling or art reflections, and cooperative activities that encourage kindness, empathy, and self-awareness.

Step into a world of magic, wonder, and imagination! Enchanted Adventures Week invites campers to embark on whimsical journeys through storybook lands filled with dragons, castles, mythical creatures, and heroic quests. Throughout the week, children will explore storytelling, creative play, and hands-on activities that bring fairy tales and legends to life. Campers will engage in role-playing, imaginative games, costume crafts, and creative challenges that spark curiosity, collaboration, and confidence. This week will feature special visiting storytellers, theatre educators, and creative artists who will lead interactive workshops, helping campers develop characters, act out scenes, and create their own enchanted adventures. (*4 day Week)

Step back in time and embark on a prehistoric adventure! Jurassic Quest Week invites campers to become junior paleontologists as they explore the amazing world of dinosaurs, fossils, and ancient creatures that once roamed the Earth. Throughout the week, children will dig into hands-on activities, interactive games, and exciting experiments that bring the age of dinosaurs to life. Campers will learn about different dinosaur species, their habitats, diets, and the fascinating science of fossils, all while engaging in active, creative, and educational fun. This week, our own educator, Mr. Cameron, will lead a special workshop featuring fossil digs, allowing campers to take home their discoveries, as well as demonstrations where they can safely observe and handle fossils, examine bones, and uncover the secrets of the prehistoric world.

Calling all young innovators! Inventors & Tinkerers Week invites campers to unleash their creativity, experiment with ideas, and bring their inventions to life. Throughout the week, children will engage in hands-on activities that encourage problem-solving, engineering, and design thinking. Campers will explore building, tinkering, and testing their creations using safe, age-appropriate materials while learning about innovation, collaboration, and perseverance. This week will feature visiting STEAM educators who will guide a hands-on workshop, share real-world insights, and inspire campers to think like inventors. Whether working individually or in teams, children will have the chance to experiment, iterate, and celebrate their successes and discoveries.

Get ready for a week full of action, learning, and community spirit! Helpers & Heroes Week invites campers to explore the exciting world of the people who keep our communities safe, healthy, and running smoothly. Throughout the week, children will learn about a variety of community helpers, from firefighters and paramedics to librarians, artists, and everyday heroes, through hands-on activities, games, and interactive workshops. Campers will discover the important roles these heroes play and gain a deeper appreciation for teamwork, responsibility, and problem-solving. This week will feature a special workshop with the local fire department, where campers will meet real-life firefighters, learn about fire safety, explore equipment, and get an up-close look at the heroic work they do every day.

How to Register?
Families may register for individual weeks that suit their summer plans. Spaces are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
To secure your spot:
- Complete the registration form online.
- Our office will send an email confirmation of your enrollment and fees due by March 27th, 2026.
- Submit Cash, cheque, or e-transfer payment by June 1st, 2026.
- Watch for your camper’s weekly info package before their first day.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Discovery Camp is open to all children who meet the age requirements. The Little Tykes program is reserved for current Pre-Casa students.

Yes. Families are welcome to register for individual weeks. You do not need to commit to the full summer.
We ask that all campers bring a water bottle, sunscreen, appropriate clothing, and lunch/snacks if applicable. A full list of what to bring is included in our brochure.
Refund policies are outlined in the brochure. Cancellations before June 26th are eligible for a full refund (minus admin fee). After June 26th, partial refunds may be available with notice.
